On Saturday, May 10, a charter out of South Jersey Marina caught four nice drum fish. The heaviest was 74 pounds which turned out to be the season-high weight so far.

On Sunday it was Karen Hernandez of Swedesboro, NJ who landed a 15 pound Striped Bass.

Her name was added to our "wall of fame".

On Saturday 5/3, 46 boats entered the annual spring tournament organized by the American Striper Association. When they left South Jersey Marina, the fog had really set in and visibility was very poor. As the day wore on, the cold winds picked up which made fishing even more difficult. At the end of the day, several fish were weighed - the winning fish weighed 38.6 pounds. The team that won 1st. place was boat #44 "Pirasea" and as you can see by the picture attached, it was a proud captain and crew.

On the same day, a Charter SJ Marina charter boat returned to the dock with a nice catch of 4 Drum Fish.

Barry Gibson of Seven Fields, PA and 5 of his friends were in the Delaware Bay for a combination Drum/Striped Bass trip. When Barry weighed the heaviest fish of the day, he was proud of his 37 pound catch. (See pictures attached)

Cap't. Mark Adams took Mr. Gerber of West Grove, Pa. along with his friends out on a charter on 4/25/08 and came across a load of Tautog. They anchored up over a wreck and by the end of the day they had bagged 30 nice size fish. Later that same day, several other keeper bass were sighted in the bay.
